Have you ever had the late night urge to cause trouble in a posh hotel????You're sitting there on your posh and comfortable bed, feeling the soft, satin sheets against your face, you are on the verge of drifting in to a deep and peaceful sleep, when.........WHAM!!!!!!!babz' cocktail of 5 cokes and one packet of "Nerds" kicks in and suddenly she is jumping up and down on the bed, running around like crazy, and talking so fast that no American within ear shot will have any chance of understanding her combination of hyper and Bristolian rambling.....containing several explitives of "blimmin'"!!!! After deciding that our long but fantastic day at "Water Country" was in need of being even longer, Babz, Lindsey and Jen(both Yankee doodle dandies) and myself went to he guy at the reception(with a remarkably shiney head) and asked for circular towels and soap to be sent to our room since one of us was Square-O-Phobic and in dire need of some help. It was hilarious!Anyone else out there with similar issues???????????

Well Miss Lauren!!! i seem to have caught you r habit of falling over........first of all, there was my "dehydration" incident two days before i left for Maine.....i woke after a very sudden bang and decided i must need to pee since it was only 6am, and really not a Rachael time of the day( or go potty as they say here)....so went to bathroom. whilst resting my big butt on the lavvy i randomly fainted, hitting my already deteriorating brain(and head, of course) on the door and slid sown, scratching my face to the point where you could still see the door pattern. I had a beautiful black eye and bump....perfect story to make conversation with the new people i meet in the USA! Ok, the start of many.......then, on sunday the 31st, i played the devil in the Champion sketch....after, i decided that i wasn't going to let the all-new American Jesus get away with it that easily!!!!!Patrick was in the dunk tank, so i paid a dollar for three throws to dunk him in ice cold water......i hit the target, just not hard enough, so in my excitement, i ran towards it to push the button to release the seat and shamefully slid on the wet and slippery grass, scraging my foot, butt and knee(now heavily bleeding) on the tiny piece of tar mac!!!!!!As if that isn't embarressing enough, i was wearing a floaty skirt and bright pink thong....i'm still to find out the extent of viewing!!!!!!I'm hoping the internet video camera was not pointing in my direction......as i fell, Jesus looked at me and said "are you ok?"! Mid flow i pushed the target and he fell in with his mouth open....praise Jehovah, my shame was redeemed....er....well maybe not!

Ok, i haven't finished yet!!!!On thurs eve at worship practice, i ran out of the door and fell over my own great big feet, landing in exactly the same way......everyone saw....i was shocked i think, i couldn't get back up for a few secs as my body was out of control....(keeping up with my brain).......then, the next day, i shut my finger in the car door on the way to a neighbours house, it turned black and hurt like hell!!!!(well, maybe not that bad) and then 5 mins later i got out of the car went in to teach someone a dance and stepped on my own toe, which split the nail half way down......this, weirdly, didn't hurt at all, my finger was still throbbing though!!!!

Then on sunday, i ffelt very sick so decided not to go to church....as soon as Darren and Sara had left i shut the same darn finger in the door!!!!What the heck is that about??????

Yesterday, i went shopping with Babz and KT, I dropped 1p and Kt bent down to get it, i tried to get my coins out my wallet and bent my elbow to the side, Kt stood up quickly and bumped into my big off boney elbow....she went dizzy this time bless her lil cottons!!!

What's going on loz????I demand answers!!!!!!!! Is it because i hit my head in the UK and lost even more brain cells making me wobbly and dizzy????Is it because my favourite toy as a child was a a wind up MR BUMP who would bang into things....i used to watch and laugh....am i being judged for being an evil child and finding this traumatic disability humorous?????????Someone help me PLEASE????????????????????????????????????????????????????

4th July Frenzy!!!!!!!

"God Bless America"!!!!!!!! What a cool day!!!!!!! My 4th began on the 3rd which was cool! At church i found myself crashing and burning as i attempted to sing along to American tunes about the independence!!!1I was a very bad mimer that day let me tell you!!!!!I managed to join in on the last two words of the pledge of allegience...."for all" and i guess that includes British visitors....it was fun....but even funnier for those watching!!!!

Then the 4th!!!!! It was HotHOtHot!!!!! lots of sun and fun!!!! On the morning we went on a parade with freaky American Hats!!!!!!!Then went tubing on the lake....where i met face to face with the devil in disguise.....yes, you've guessed it.....Darren!!!!Nice one Darren!!! As i stepped from the boat to the tube with my life jacket on tight, to compensate for my extremely pooor swimming technique, he sweetly put out his hand for me to hold and assist my large step........only to push me in!!!!!!!!How evil can you get???????What a joker!!!!!!!I am plotting revenge....but as i don't trust all (one in particular- Darren) the readers of this blog to keep my plan hidden, i'll post the results!!!!!I have professional and experienced people assisting me!!!!!!! However, i think the Lord God himself was on my side as Darren's lovely gold wedding ring sank to the bottom of the beautiful and righteous lake!!!!!!!Oh yeah baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!Totally beyond reach!!!!!! Teehee.....in the words of every teenage American....." That sucks, eh Daz!!!!"

So, we've been in Maine for 10 days! I have learned many many things! Do not use the words "cheeky" or "wonky" or many faces will laugh at you! It was named after England for a reason.....it doesn't just rain....it pours!Do not say you are going to the shop, it's "store", do not ask for chips when you mean french fries!Trainers are "sneakers" obviously! They don't "do" sweet popcorn at the "movie theatre"- only salty butter ones!The other day for the first time, i literally had "ants in my pants"! My jeans were on the chair and in the seat of them was a big fat juicy ant(like the ones from the cartoon "Antz", not little reserved Brittish ones!) But, other than that, it's great here! The people are friendly....not just the Christians either! Theyt tell you to have a good day everytime you leave a store!There is no way (with all the shopping i do) i could ever have a bad day over here......well that's what they say! Hi Maria babe!!! I miss you and love you sweety!!!!
